GYUMRI. -- The reason for an explosion at Gyumri natural gas station was a blast in a gas tank of a car that was about to fill up, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports.

The gas tank of a car exploded because of being damaged, director of the station Artur Arnavutyan said.

According to him, Aram Hovhannisyan, 56, and Armen Mikaelyan, 29, were injured in an explosion on Friday afternoon and were transported to an intensive care department, while the first is in a critical condition.

The gas station was damaged, too.
