YEREVAN. – The name of a new Yerevan police chief has been revealed. According to Armenian News-NEWS.am source, police chief of Shirak region Sargis Martirosyan is expected to be appointed to the post.
Chief of Yerevan Police, Lieutenant General Ashot Karapetyan was relieved of his duties on Monday. Karapetyan was sacked upon the order of the Armenian Chief of Police Vladimir Gasparyan.
