YEREVAN. – The Armenian government has not approved the bill proposed by MP from Heritage party Tevan Poghosyan on social services for the military.
Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan said the draft amendments to the law “On social security of servicemen and their families” suggests that a committee comprised of the representatives of the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Labour and regional administrations will visit demobilized wounded soldiers regularly, to get acquainted with their state of health, and also help to find their place in society and in employment. However, the Minister added, similar schemes are working now.
Territorial centers of social services in the country monitor the wounded soldiers and their families and keep in constant contact with them, providing the necessary advice.
