YEREVAN. – The infant, who was brought to Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan from Moscow and whose mother had gave him up in the Russian capital city, had health problems.

Police Colonel Nelli Duryan, head of Third Department at the Armenia Police General Department on Criminal Investigation, told about the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“It’s a 4-month old boy who had [health] problems; he was operated on in Moscow,” said Duryan. “But it’s not known why his parents gave him up. We received information that they gave the child up; that’s why we transported him to Armenia.”

As per the police colonel, it will be possible to speak about the current condition of the baby only after the corresponding examinations.

Earlier, the Police news service reported that an Armenian citizen had petitioned to the relevant Russian authorities and refused further care for her child. As a result, the infant was transported to Yerevan, on Friday.
