Armenian PM Hovik Abrahamyan attended the opening of the annual Baze Youth Camp on Monday.

Welcoming and congratulating the youth on another Baze camp opening, the PM noted that during 14 years of its existence, Baze has managed to unite thousands of youth from Armenia, Artsakh and Diaspora. “This trio strengthens our statehood, contributing to the dissemination of our national values and ideas. The Armenian Government constantly keeps youth issues in the center of its attention.  The aim of the introduced and current projects is to not only solve issues in short-term perspective, but also create stable bases and provide favorable conditions for the comprehensive development of youth,” Abrahamyan noted.

Referring to the political and economic issues, the PM underscored the role of the youth in resisting those challenges.

After the opening, Abrahamyan talked to the camp participants, responding to the issues they take interest in, specifically in respect to the economic policy of the Armenian Government, external economic ties, development of infrastructure, as well as reforms in the areas of education, science, etc.  

Around 500 participants from Armenia, Artsakh and Diaspora are taking part in the annual camp this year.
