Presensky district court of Moscow decided to arrest Armenian businessman Aram Petrosyan, who seized the Citibank branch in downtown Moscow, till October 24. Thereby, the motion of the investigation was granted.  

Petrosyan faces charges under Article 206 (2) of the Russian Criminal Code (capture of two or more hostages, with objects used as arms), which stipulates confinement for 6 to 15 years.

The investigation requested to choose custody as a precautionary measure to be enforced against him, reasoning this by the fact that he might hinder the investigation of the case, TASS reports.
