YEREVAN. – By getting involved in the Syrian war, Turkey has diverted attention from the South Caucasus, and now the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone is relatively peaceful.

Ambassador Ara Papyan, Modus Vivendi Center Director and political scientist, noted the abovementioned at a press conference on Thursday.

In his words, at present, Azerbaijan cannot expect Turkey’s support in this conflict, and therefore it is behaving in a more restrained manner, at this time.
