YEREVAN. – Investigation is completed into the case of the Angolan citizen who had illegally crossed the Turkish-Armenian border, and the case has been sent to Armenian court.

According to the indictment, on June 14 at around 9pm, Bob João Dongala illegally crossed into the Armenian state border on foot, nearby Yervandashat village in Armavir Province, from Turkey. On June 15 at 1:30am, however, he was apprehended by the Russian Federation Federal Security Service border officers stationed in Armenia.

Criminal charges are brought against Dongala.

He is under arrest.

“During initial questioning, the border trespasser explained that he is a citizen of Angola, born in 1982, and he wanted to reach Angola via Armenia,” the respective statement reads.
