YEREVAN. – First Deputy Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan on Saturday received representatives from the leading media in France, Germany, Italy and Portugal, and who have arrived in Armenia to get familiarized with the country.

The guests were presented a lecture on the security climate that is formed around Armenia, the Ministry of Defense (MOD) informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. The lecture reflected on the present-day challenges in the region, and the military threats facing Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh).

Tonoyan also spoke about the military aggression which Azerbaijan had unleashed against Artsakh—from April 1 to 5—, the subsequent developments, and the ongoing defense reforms in Armenia.

In addition, the first deputy defense minister responded to the questions posed by the visiting foreign journalists.
