The mother of Armenian military serviceman Arayik Ordubekyan, who had fallen on September 2 in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh), gave birth to her eighth child, on the evening of September 3.

Mrs. Christine, a family of the Ordubekyan family, told about the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

She noted that Arayik’s mother was informed of her son’s death on September 3, and she immediately was taken to hospital, where she gave birth—with a Caesarean section—to baby girl.

As reported earlier, Arayik Ordubekyan was from Sonasar village in the NKR Kashatagh Region. But his family had moved to this village about one year ago from Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

The Ordubekyan couple already had seven children.

The young soldier was drafted into the army in the summer of 2015.

The NKR Ministry of Defense press service informed that Arayik Ordubekyan had died under circumstances that had taken place during the execution of a military task.

And with a decree by NKR President Bako Sahakyan, Artsakh Defense Army serviceman Ordubekyan was posthumously awarded with the Medal for Service in Battle, and in recognition of his bravery during the defense of the NKR state border.
