The police in Iran have closed over 800 shops all over the country for selling “unconventional” clothes, AP reports, citing the public TV of Iran.

According to the source, the police raids took place during the recent ten days after the authorities sent relevant warnings to more than 3600 shops.

The police and the TV were against the sale of clothes with English labels as well as second-hand clothes due to their being non-hygienic, the agency reports.
