The Armenian baby food market will not henceforth be under full control of the Armenian oligarch Samvel Alexanyan, who has many children and faces. Armenian children can now taste the new products by the Germany-based Humana Company. The Kentrin Group Ltd is importing the baby food to Armenia. Thus we can say the Armenian baby food market has been demonopolized.
The point is not only that Armenian children can now regale themselves on the food from the wide assortment of Humana. The major advantage of the company’s products is that they meet the recommendations of European dieticians. Up-to-date technologies enable the company to constantly upgrade the quality of its products. The contents of the products meet the needs of the target age groups. The Humana Company manufactures its additive-free baby foods from top-quality primary products. The company also produces anallergic baby foods, foods for prematurely born children, as well as teas and waters.
The RA State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition conducted a survey which revealed monopolization of the Armenian baby food market.
Among the companies dominating the market are Alex Group, Alex Grig, Natali Pharm, and Slavex. It is noteworthy that all the companies are owned by the same ubiquitous Parliament member of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Smvel Alexanyan.
