The European Court of Human Rights has passed another verdict against Azerbaijan.

The press service of the European Court reports that the verdict confirms the violations of the articles on the right to fair trial and protection of property in the Safarova vs. Azerbaijan case.

Zemfima Safarova, a former resident of Baku, Azerbaijan, applied to the European Court and stated that the premises she owns in Baku – a total of 350 sq, meters – have been occupied by a police station since 1993. In 2003, the local court returned a verdict that the police station had no legal right to occupy the premises. However, the court verdict was not honored.
