The number of victims of the explosion in the city of Van in eastern Turkey has risen to 19 people, Justice and Development party MP Besir Atalay said.

According to the latest information, 19 people were wounded, including two policemen. Condition of several people is serious. A car bomb exploded, RIA Novosti reported quoting CNN Turk.

Earlier, Turkish media reported about an explosion 200 meters far from the building of the administration of the province. The building of the local branch of the ruling party AKP is located not far from its epicenter. The explosion damaged nearby homes.
