YEREVAN. - Armenia's Orinats Yerkir Party will continue raising the issue on the adequacy of publishing the voter lists.

Secretary of the Orinats Yerkir faction, Mher Shahgeldyan, stated the aforementioned at the ceremony of signing an agreement with the opposition on the amendments to the Electoral Code and re-equipment of polling stations.

He underscored the importance of online broadcasting of parliamentary sessions and preliminary publication of the voter lists.  Together with this, it is necessary to struggle for removing the quantitative limitations for the observers at the polling stations, Shahgeldyan stated. This agreement doesn't mean that the party agrees with the entire Electoral Code of the current edition. In particular, the voter lists are still of concern, he added.

''But today's agreement is a step forward, an opportunity to improve the technical control,'' he stated.
