YEREVAN. - The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) MP Sukias Avetisyan expressed annoyance to Armenian News – NEWS.am about the opinion that the election fraud has again to do with the ruling party.

"Those fraudulent should be held accountable and punished. There are people who still try to take that path and we have repeatedly said that the election fraud is not an acceptable option for us. Let those who were engaged in it be held accountable.  The ruling Republican party was never and doesn't want to be in need of such defenders. The ruling Republican Party never instructs to go and engage in electoral fraud. If certain individuals are engaged in this, they should be held accountable."

The MP also noted that in certain communities the opposition candidates won, which proves that the electoral processes are already put on democratic ground.

"The practice showed that the talks that the Republican Party does its best to prevent other forces from being elected are not true," Avetisyan said.

Different types of election fraud, specifically cases of voting instead of others, were reported during the local elections on Sunday. The candidates in Etchmiadzin city ended the campaign with shots and cruel battery.
