YEREVAN. – Zhamanak newspaper has learned that the National Assembly is scheduled to convene a special session on September 26, whose agenda will be the debates of the bill on declaring amnesty in Armenia, according to the newspaper.

“It was known from months ago that the amnesty bill, on the 25th anniversary of [Armenia’s] independence, is ready. However, the authorities were hesitant on the matter of the deadlines for declaring amnesty.

“[But,] ultimately, a decision was made not to delay the process,” wrote Zhamanak.
