YEREVAN. – Commander of the joint army group, Major General Andranik Makaryan, is commanding the military parade that kicked off Wednesday morning in capital city Yerevan, on the 25th anniversary of the independence of Armenia (PHOTOS). 

Acting Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan is receiving the military parade. 

Minister Ohanyan toured the square and greeted the units participating in the parade.

The national flag of Armenia, the military flag of the Armed Forces of Armenia, and the Honorary Holy Cross of King Ashot II “the Iron” of Armenia, are brought to Republic Square, under the tunes of the military march. 

Major General Ishkhan Matevosyan is leading the flag bearers.
