YEREVAN. – President Serzh Sargsyan on Wednesday introduced Yuri Khatchaturov, the newly appointed Secretary of the National Security Council (NSC) of Armenia, to the NSC staff.

The President thanked now former NSC Secretary Armen Gevorkyan for his activities during his brief tenure in this position, and wished him all the best in his new capacity as Chief of the Presidential Administration.

Sargsyan congratulated newly appointed NSC Secretary Yuri Khatchaturov. He expressed confidence that, at his new position, he will combine his duties as a military, and now also as a political figure, and together with the NSC staff, he will assume the organization of the activities of the NSC, fully forming its staff, and bringing his active engagement in resolving the problems facing the country.

Gevorkyan and Khatchaturov, for their part, assured the President that they will carry out their new duties in full, and contribute to further increasing the level of Armenia’s security.
