YEREVAN. – Notorious governor of Armenia’s Syunik region Surik Khchatryan has been dismissed.
The government approved the decision during the meeting on Thursday. Before coming into effect the decision has to be approved by the president.
Khachatryan has been in office from 2004 to 2013 an was re-appointed in September 2014.
