YEREVAN. – Russian Ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volinkin has not confirmed the “information” being disseminated by Azerbaijan, and with respect to its starting joint production of missiles, with Russia.

Commenting—at the request of Armenian News-NEWS.am—on such statements, the Russian diplomat noted: “I have no such information. I can only say that cruise missiles are one direction, the Iskanders [i.e. the long-range ballistic missiles which Armenia has purchased from Russia]—another. I don’t know what the connection here is. But I have no evidence of a joint production. It’s possible that the Azerbaijani side knows something, but we don’t know it.”
