YEREVAN. - Supporting Syrian Armenians is the greatest exam of Armenia-Diaspora relations during the last 2.5 decades.

Head of Modus Vivendi analytical center, Ara Papian, said the aforementioned at a press-conference on Thursday.

And the country should pass this exam with dignity, he noted.

“Of course, our country isn’t now in the position to ensure favorable life for Syrian Armenians after hosting them. Nevertheless, many of them face the issue of survival.  The state should organize the support necessary for them, since no other structure can do that,” Papian said.

In his words, if Armenia is not able to stand by Armenians in Aleppo, it will fail in the relations with all the other Armenian communities.
