The Iranian warships will head to the coastal area of the Gulf of Aden, not far from the Bab-el-Mandeb strait, to ensure safety of navigation of merchant ships, reports the Tasnim. The group will consist of a Bushher ship and an Alvand-class frigate. As the source reports, the ships will head to the free water zone of Gulf of Aden and the Bab-el-Mandeb strait, through which commercial ships will be passing, and will monitor these areas, which are under constant threat of pirates’ attack. After that, they will head to Somalia and Tanzania, and if the weather is good, to the South African Republic.
