On October 18, the newly appointed U.S. Consul General to Istanbul Scott Frederic Kilner visited Armenian Patriarchate in Constantinople to get acquainted with the patriarchate and local Armenian community.

Vicar of Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople Archbishop Aram Ateshyan congratulated the U.S. official on the appointment to the post and provided him with information on the history of Armenians in Turkey and the current issues of the community.
