Positive evolution is traced in the position of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said speaking in the Parliament.

“If previously they spoke of principle of territorial integrity, then territorial integrity and right of nations to self-determination, noting that the first one is more important, presently it is stressed that both principles are equal,” he said. Nalbandian also recalled the statement issued by the OSCE MG Co-Chairs, saying that all three principles (non-use of force or the threat of force, territorial integrity, and self-determination of peoples), as well as six elements the Madrid Principles are based on are inseparable. According to him, these words were addressed to Baku that always prioritizes principle of territorial integrity. The Karabakh conflict is the only one when all positions of three co-chairing states – U.S., Russia and France- coincide, he added.

The Armenian FM noted that Yerevan expressed concern to the Co-Chairs over Azerbaijan’s military rhetoric and the fact that these statements have not been condemned in the international documents.
