YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia received a call, on Wednesday at 8:56am.

Accordingly, a passenger bus had gotten stuck in snow on the Goris-Kapan motorway, and rescuers were needed to get this vehicle out of the snow.

An operative team from the Syunik Province Rescue Department and a firefighting squad were dispatched to the scene.

It was found out that the chains on the wheels of this bus were damaged on Tuesday at around 11pm on the abovementioned motorway, and therefore it was unable to continue on its journey toward Iran. 

With the help of a bus provided by the Syunik provincial hall, the rescuers transferred all 26 stranded passengers (17 children, and 9 adults) to the Syunik Province Rescue Department building, where they were given hot tea and food, until the arrival of their bus.
