YEREVAN. – The November 26 congress of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) will be convened at Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex in capital city Yerevan, reported Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper.

“About 2,000 people, whose 1,800 are RPA delegates while about 200—guests, will be invited.

‘“We have invited the Communist Party of China, Russia’s [ruling] Yedinaya Rossiya [i.e. United Russia Party], and the EPP [i.e. the European People’s Party]. We will also invite local parties collaborating with us, and [those that] are our supporters,’ RPA Organizational [Issues’] Committee Chairman Ruben Tadevosyan said in an interview with Haykakan Zhamanak, [but] without specifying as to which [local] parties this applies to.

“[But] he confirmed that the [Armenian Revolutionary Federation] ARF [Dashnaktsutyun Party, which the coalition partner of the RPA,] will be invited [to the RPA congress],” wrote Haykakan Zhamanak.
