YEREVAN. - Defense Minister of Armenia Vigen Sargsyan on Tuesday met with the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk in the administrative complex of the Armenian Defense Ministry.

During the meeting, the Armenian Defense Minister briefed Ambassador Kasprzyk on the situation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani contact line, stressing that during the last weeks Azerbaijan has been regularly creating tension there, increasing the number of shots and the scale of the weapons applied. The Armenian armed forces respond to the aforementioned provocations only when absolutely necessary, staying faithful to the adopted tactics of restraint.

Ambassador Kasprzyk, for his part, noted that the Office of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office continuously carries out work aimed at reducing the tension at the contact line. He also expressed hope that in the future it will be possible to record success in this direction.
