Ankara’s military intrusion to the territory of Iraq will lead to the fall of Turkey itself, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said, RIA Novosti reports.

“Any intrusion by Turkey into the territory of Iraq will lead to the fall of Turkey itself,” Lebanese Al Mayadeen channel reports, citing al-Abadia. He stressed that Iraq “doesn’t want war with Turkey,” but if Ankara wants that “Baghdad is ready.”

The Prime Minister’s statement was made against the backdrop of news circulated in media on that Ankara has deployed large number of heavy equipment and tanks to the border with Iraq. The Defense Ministry of Turkey later confirmed this information.
