YEREVAN. – The two former presidents and 95 ex-MPs of Armenia will receive a personal pension in 2017.

The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Artem Asatryan, noted the above-said at Wednesday’s National Assembly hearings on the draft state budget for next year.

In addition, 63 former judges, 4 former members of the Constitutional Court, 401 former prosecutors, and 18 former senior officials in the country also will receive a pension in 2017.

The base individual pension is 14,000 drams (about $30) per month, and this base payment increases by 5,000 drams (about $10) for each year of professional experience.

Under the amended law, the individual pensions of the former presidents of Armenia constitute 70 percent of the working salaries.

Accordingly, the personal pensions of the two former presidents, Levon Ter-Petrosyan and Robert Kocharyan, will amount to 924,000 drams (about $1,930) per month.
