YEREVAN. – There are four sources of reducing natural gas prices in Armenia, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan said at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.

In his words, the first source is the new agreement on Russian gas transfer via Georgia, and which is planned to be signed with Georgia.

The second source is increased gas consumption in Armenia on the account of lower prices, and, as a result, a growth in the profit of the country’s gas operator.

Third is the cutting down of the expenses of Gazprom Armenia CJSC.

And the fourth source is the financial risks which the Russian Gazprom, the founder of Gazprom Armenia, will assume.

Gazprom Armenia already has petition to the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of the country, and with proposals for a reduction in the natural prices in the country.
