Police used tear gas and water cannons against Kurdish protestors who went to the streets against the arrests of the Kurdish MPs from Democratic Peoples' party. According to the Turkish Kamusaati website, hundreds of Kurds protested the arrests of Kurdish MPs in Ankara, Istanbul, and Antalya. The police surrounded by the protesters announced that the demonstration was illegal and dispersed the crowd using water cannons and tear gas. 

As reported earlier, on 3 November the police arrested the Kurdish Democratic Peoples' Party co- chairs and 7 MPs on charges of being “a member of a terrorist organization".
