Armenian PM Karen Karapetyan has twofold standpoint on the country’s Tax Code.

At the meeting with journalists in Karabakh, he specified his position regarding the Tax Code, coming under fire by the area specialists.

“On the one hand, it has the right to exist; there is certain logic here. But the business responds that those who work in the white field are punished for that and their load increases, whereas no actions are taken against the shadow. There is logic here: the load of the white field is increased. If we manage to create just and equal conditions in the economy - as we did with the gas price - and realize that taking the tax load to the business sphere will activate the economy, the business will get reproduced,”Karapetyan said.

He also noted that this also depends on the productivity of the state’s work and the response of the businessmen.
