STEPANAKERT. – President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh), Bako Sahakyan, on Tuesday watched the NKR Defense Army military maneuvers, which were conducted in the central part of the country.

Subsequently, the President rated the process and results of these military exercises as satisfactory, Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In his remarks, Sahakyan stressed that the Defense Army is the greatest achievement of Artsakh’s independent statehood, the pivotal guarantee of its independence, sovereignty and its people’s security, and one of the most influential factors for maintaining regional peace and stability.

“All of us, the whole Armenian people, are proud of our brave soldiers, who, thanks to their everyday humble and courageous demeanor, fulfill the Motherland defender’s sacred mission with dignity, and are always ready to stop any encroachment by the enemy,” noted the NKR President.

As per Bako Sahakyan, the highest command staff of the Defense Army and all the command units will draw the necessary conclusions, and carry out appropriate work toward a consistent increase in the combat-readiness of the army.

In addition, President Sahakyan handed valuable gifts to a group of servicemen who achieved high results during these maneuvers.
