YEREVAN. - The identities of ten defendants in the case regarding the embezzlement of the EU Delegation grants have been revealed as a result of the large number of investigative processes initiated in the framework of a criminal case launched in the Department of Especially Important Cases of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

According to the Investigative Service, the checks carried out by the EU delegation representatives confirmed that significant part of the means provided for the implementation of “Martuni Student Council” program had been embezzled.

A criminal case was launched. Information was received that besides the aforementioned program, there were violations in other programs as well.

Tigran Sukiasyan, Gevorg Ghazaryan, Rubina Ter-Martiorosyan, Armen Bareghamyan, Anahit Avagyan, Sergey Balasanyan, Sina Manukyan and Karen Stepanyan have been charged with embezzlement, aiding embezzlement and forgery.

Two others – Hrayr Gyonjyan and Garik Chilingaryan – have been put on a wanted list.

Expert examinations have been commission. Other details are not provided stemming from the interests of the investigation.
