YEREVAN. - The pensions which were mistakenly overpaid to Armenian pensioners before January 2016 will not be collected.

The draft amendments to the Law on State Pensions were approved at the Government session Thursday.

The pension amnesty doesn’t extend to cases, when the sum was paid months after the pensioner’s death or on the basis of falsifications of criminal nature.

Starting from 2016, the mistakenly transferred pensions can be collected for no more than 36 months.

It was revealed that in 2015, pensions in the amount of 240.6 mln AMD (less than 0,1 percent of overall pension expenses for 2017) were overpaid due to the analysis of the Labor Ministry and wrongly collected data.
