Iran is ready to completed preparations for signing the declaration on the legal status of the Caspian Sea by 2017, said the chairwoman of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, after a meeting with the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, reports RIA Novosti.
"As for the declaration, I quote: ‘The agreement over the declaration has reached a phase, in which the final documents get prepared. There are still difficulties, but Iran is ready to sign the declaration before the summit of the Caspian states, which is scheduled for 2017,’" Matviyenko said.
Earlier, Moscow announced that signing the Declaration on the Caspian Sea status will be realistic in early 2017.
