MOSCOW. – A 30-year-old Armenian citizen was injured in a traffic accident that occurred on Sunday evening in Moscow. 

Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned the aforesaid from the Embassy of Armenia in Moscow.

According to the information received, a taxi and a passenger car had collided and, subsequently, the taxi had hit people that were waiting at a public transit stop.  

As a result, twelve people suffered injuries, eleven of them were hospitalized—with two being in serious condition, whereas one person did not wish to be hospitalized.

According to information by the Russian law enforcement, the cab driver is also an Armenian citizen. He was born in 1986, he lives in the Russian capital city, but he is a registered resident of Armenia. He had arrived in Moscow about three months ago.

The taxi driver has been detained for 48 hours.
