Marilyn Monroe’s famous dress which she was wore when she sang “happy birthday Mr President” to John F Kennedy has sold for a world-record price at auction, fetching U.S. $4.8 million.
“Monroe's Happy Birthday Mr. President gown sold for $4.8m”, Julien’s Auctions tweeted.
The dress was first auctioned by Christie's in 1999, the Jean Louis dress went to the late business mogul Martin Zweig for $1.3 million.
