YEREVAN. –The Public Services Regulatory Commission on Friday approved the new tariffs for the natural gas which Gazprom Armenia CJSC sells to the consumers of the country.

Pursuant to this decision, the price for each 1,000 cubic meters of gas being sold to the country’s socially vulnerable consumers will be 100,000 drams (about $209)—including the value added tax—for up to 600 cubic meters of gas, whereas 139,000 drams (about $290) for over 600 cubic meters per year.

Separately, those that consume more than 10,000 cubic meters of gas will need to pay around 114,000 drams (about $238) per 1,000 cubic meters.

And the agricultural farms will pay around 100,000 drams (about $209) per 1,000 cubic meters.

The new tariffs will come into force on January 1, 2017.
