YEREVAN. – Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia that the people, who are stranded due to heavy snow at the Upper Lars checkpoint on the Georgian-Russian border, are receiving necessities and food.

As per the respective MFA statement, a representative of Armenia’s consulate general in Rostov-on-Don, Russia, regularly visits the checkpoint while the consulate is in constant contact with local authorities.

If needed, first aid is also provided to the people that are stranded at this checkpoint.

The Georgian side is carrying out road clearance.
