Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan assures that he hasn't forced anyone to join the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).

''There has been no compulsion on my side. I don't rule out that certain people were instructed to deal with that work. It's not ruled out [either] that there were people who even joined forcedly. From my team such people joined the RPA, who had never thought of living by party life. Today's reality and challenge require to have political basis,'' the PM told media representatives Monday.

After Karapetyan became an RPA member, almost 7,000 people joined the party overnight. According to rumors, they are workers of Gazprom Armenia, who were forced to join the ruling party.
