YEREVAN. – The “Survey for Seismic Protection” Agency of Armenia recorded a magnitude-4.5 earthquake, on Tuesday at 4:33am local time.
The epicenter of the tremor was in Azerbaijan, 33 km northwest of Shamakhi town.
The hypocenter of this quake was 15 km beneath the surface.
The seismic activity measured magnitude 6, at the epicenter.
The earthquake was also felt in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh). It measured magnitude 3 in capital city Stepanakert.
