YEREVAN. - President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Tuesday sent a condolence letter to the Yeristyan family in connection with the untimely death of the Minister of Emergency Situations of Armenia, Major-General of Police, Armen Yeritsyan.

“Armen Yeritsyan devoted his entire activity to the strengthening of his native statehood. Through his faultless work he contributed to the development of the police system of Armenia. His efforts towards fundamentally reconstructing, modernizing and establishing the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia are appreciable.

I offer my condolences to the family, relatives, friends and colleague of the public figure,” reads the President’s letter.

Upon the decision of the Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan, a governmental commission has been set up in connection with Armen Yeritsyan’s death.
