YEREVAN. - The subsequent session of the Armenian State Commission for Prisoners of War, Hostages, and Missing Persons took place in Yerevan Saturday.

At the session, the Commission members presented the actions and programs implemented in 2016 and came up with proposals. Apart from this, the key directions of the work to be carried out in 2017 were outlined.

Deputy Head of the Armenian delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Gabriele Schmidt, as well as Zurab Burduli, head of Protection department, who were invited to attend the session, presented a report on the current cooperation and expected actions between the Commission and the organization.

Summing up the work of the session, the Chairman of the Commission, Vigen Sargsyan, who is also the Defense Minister of Armenia, noted that the planned actions had mainly been carried out.  He also gave corresponding instructions to the Commission members and heads of the working group adjunct to the Commission.
