The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu the maintenance of ceasefire by all the parties of the Syrian conflict, informs the Russian Foreign Ministry website.

"The ministers offered to discuss a complex of issues, in regard to the implementation of provisions signed the Syrian government and the opposition on December 29 and taking into account negotiations of Russian, Turkish, and Iranian foreign and defense ministers on December 20," reads the  message.

According to the ministry, the ministers stressed the importance to respect the ceasefire.
