YEREVAN. – Prime Minister of Armenia, Karen Karapetyan, on Monday met with Iranian Ambassador Seyed Kazzem Sajjadi, and Turkmen Ambassador Muhammetniyaz Mashalov.

The PM noted that the high level of Armenia’s political relations with Iran and Turkmenistan enables to have closer bilateral economic ties as well as conduct trilateral economic cooperation, Press Office of the Government of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“We have an opportunity to increase the growth in the volume of commodity circulation between our countries,” he added.

The Iranian and Turkmen ambassadors, for their part, noted that the governments of their countries underscore the expanding of relations with Armenia, and they stand ready to confer on the respective future steps.

At the ensuing talk, the interlocutors discussed, in particular, the opportunities and prospects for the development of trilateral cooperation in the energy sector.

In addition, Karapetyan highlighted the active work by intergovernmental commissions.

Separately, PM Karen Karapetyan condoled with Ambassador Sajjadi, on the passing of former Iranian President Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.
