Azerbaijan and Turkey have always supported each other and they were always together on ordeal days and Azerbaijan felt it in very beginning of Armenian aggression, Azerbaijani Defense Minister Safar Abiyev said at the meeting with his Turkish counterpart Vecdi Gonul, APA reported.

Commenting on the Karabakh conflict, the Azerbaijani Minister said “Armenia’s occupation policy towards Azerbaijan should be over and peace process continued through talks.” However, in case peaceful talks yield no results, Abiyev did not rule out possibility that Azerbaijan may use another opportunities.

Abiyev stressed that relation in defense sector, defense industry and military education are developed between Turkey and Azerbaijan. In future these principles will be priorities for bilateral cooperation, he added. The Minister noted that present negotiations will contribute to expansion of Turkish-Azerbaijani friendship and cooperation.  

Speaking of Turkish-Azerbaijani cooperation in various fields, Vecdi Gonul stressed that the relations should be deepened.
