YEREVAN. - Previous Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan on Wednesday issued a statement informing that he is terminating his membership to the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).

“I thought long in making this decision.

“I thank all my fellow party friends for the joint effective work for years. I thank (…) our thousands of fellow citizens for all the accomplishments we have achieved together.

“Teamwork, the dignity of each team member has been and remains a priority for me.

“I am leaving the RPA, but I will continue to actively engage in politics, for I am convinced that I have sufficient strength, knowledge, and experience to serve our state and people.

“I will continue to live and work for the sake of Armenia,” Abrahamyan’s statement also reads, in particular.
