President of Russia Vladimir Putin and his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump have started speaking by phone.

Press Secretary of the White House, Sean Spicer, wrote the aforementioned on his Twitter page, TASS reports.

He also posted a photo depicting Trump sitting at a desk, surrounded by U.S. Vice President Michael Pence, National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and top political advisor Steven Bannon.

Spicer also noted that Trump’s phone conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, which preceded the conversation with Putin, lasted for 45 minutes.
